Then you're in the right place! If you want to participate in the very First D.M. Cumbo Art Contest, please keep reading for the contest description and rules.
Submissions are accepted from Wednesday, February 18, 2015 through Midnight on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. No late entries! Please make sure you follow the submission guidelines as we can't accept entries without all required info!
Unfortunately, for legal reasons, this contest is restricted to those 13 years of age or older. Hopefully we'll be able to open the next one up to participants of all ages. Sorry!
The first Contest begins!
The challenge: Color a line-art image from dreamside chapter 5!
All you have to do is color! Use whatever medium you like. You can print it and break out the crayons, markers, paints... you can use glitter pens, colored glue, sequins, colored sand... or keep it digital and use Manga Studio, Photoshop, Paint Tool Sai, or whatever you prefer... the possibilities are pretty limitless. You can even use paper cutouts! Now that would be unique!
Come up with the most creative coloring job. Surprise and stun us all with your vision. But, whatever you decide to do, make sure to give it your best - with a prize as cool as this COPIC MARKER PRIZE PACK, there's bound to be some stiff competition!
For this contest, it's a "winner-takes-all" sorta thing. The prize includes a Copic Earth Essentials Sketch Marker 6-pack for your coloring needs, a 4-pack of Multi-liner pens for those gorgeous, sophisticated outlines, a 50-sheet Copic Marker Pad with a customizable cover, an "I <3 Copic!" sticker, and last, but not least, a beautiful art print from Dreamside featuring the Dream Girl! Whew... that's a lotta awesome stuff!
Give the contest rules below a read so you know exactly what to do to enter and win. Make sure to read the rules very carefully as submissions that don't comply will be disqualified.
Contest Rules:
The contest begins Wednesday, February 18, 2015 and ends one week later at midnight (February 25, 2015).
This contest is open to participants 13 years of age or older. No children under 13 will be allowed to participate. Only one submission allowed per person. If you change your mind and want to redo your submission, you can send multiple entries, but only one will be allowed in the contest.
If you are unable to print the image, freehand impressions of the line-art will be accepted but accuracy will be a factor for finalists. All entries must be scanned or photographed digitally and emailed to david@dmcumbo.com. Attachments must be smaller than 10mbs.
IN ORDER TO BE ENTERED IN THE CONTEST, YOUR EMAIL MUST CONTAIN:
- the participant's full name,
- the participant's date-of-birth,
- an address to which the prize can be shipped,*
- the words "ART CONTEST" in the subject line.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 12:00 A.M. EASTERN TIME WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2015. ENTRIES WITHOUT ANY OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Please note that none of your personal information aside from your name will be displayed on the voting page. By submitting, you agree to the entry, display, and usage of the artwork for the contest and any other lawful purpose. By submitting you further agree that D.M. Cumbo, LLC owes no monetary compensation for usage of submitted artwork.
The winner of the contest will be determined through a two-step process. First, a public vote will determine the top 3 finalists through a form that will be added to this page once the contest period has ended. The voting period will run for one week, beginning FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2015 and conclude one week later on FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2015. Anyone can vote so make sure to tell your family, friends, allies, arch-nemeses, pets, etc. Then, D.M. Cumbo will pick the winner amongst the finalists with a crack team of creative professionals!
In order to vote on the finalists, please come back and visit this page which will be updated on Friday, March 6, 2015 with a voting form showcasing all eligible entries. All voters must submit a valid email address and have reviewed the D.M. Cumbo Privacy Notice. This is designed to avoid abuse of the voting system.
*Please provide a current and valid shipping address. The prize pack may take up to six weeks to arrive depending on winner's location. D.M. Cumbo is not responsible for loss of prize shipment due to an incorrect shipping address.
